2016 oil on canvas landscape of the famous salt flats in Bolivia. Measuring 16" by 20", this painting takes on a innovative, modern approach to landscape painting. Done purposely in a flat, monotone style, this painting actually portrays a realistic photograph of the mountain-scape in Bolivia taken at dusk (see last photo in the gallery).  This image was selected purposely by Daen to give the viewer a different take on the genre and intone more about the location of the area in the painting, rather than the execution of the painting.
