AUTO-PORTRAIT ON THE PALI LOOKOUT
This one-third sized self-portrait features DAEN on Oahu, Hawaii's iconic Nu'uanu Pali (aka, the Pali Lookout), a sea-facing cliff on the windward side of the Koolau mountain range. This location has special historic significance for Hawaiians, as it was the location of King Kamehameha's victory in the Battle of Nu'uanu, a battle which united the Hawaiian people under one ruler for the first time.
